Musique
à Saint-Eustache

Paroissiens et visiteurs de toutes nationalités se pressent par milliers chaque année à Saint Eustache. Sa réputation est autant due à la splendeur de son architecture qu’à sa tradition musicale.

De nombreux souvenirs s’y rattachent au fil des siècles : Lully s’y maria en 1662, à la veille de sa mort, Rameau fit ses adieux à l’orgue ;  Mozart y assista aux obsèques de sa mère ; 950 exécutants y ont interprété la première audition du Te Deum de Berlioz en 1855. Aujourd’hui, la messe de sainte Cécile attire chaque automne un public fidèle.
