All year round, more than twenty volunteers take turns every day, from 10 am to 6.30 pm, to welcome parishioners and visitors, answer various questions and direct them to a qualified contact person. Recognizable by their badge, each welcome person is available to listen as humanly as possible to the needs, at the reception desk.

The entire reception team is mobilized for major parish, liturgical and cultural events.

One of the riches of St. Eustatius is them!

They, who give their time to the life of the parish. They often say of Saint-Eustache: "big ship, small crew". Today they are more than 200 volunteers who are engaged in the many spiritual and material tasks necessary for the daily functioning of the parish. The vast majority of them have been involved for a long time.

Parish Resources

Some people sometimes ask the question: "What subsidies does Sint Eustatius receive? »
Answer: none! Neither from the state, nor from the diocese, nor from the Vatican. This is why the parish is very grateful to the more than 500 donors, on average, whose generosity helps to cover operating and capital expenses. Every day, the parish priest of Sint Eustatius has to find 2,000 euros to "keep the parish running".

It should be noted that the church's denarius (average donation in 2015 of 443.56 euros per person, a drop of 2.84% compared to 2014) represents the first source of income, i.e. 1/3 of the annual income. On the other hand, the quests barely cover the direct costs of organising masses (3 euros per person). In addition, there are additional revenues: sales of candles, real estate income, making the church available for concert organisers. Remember that in 2015/2016, the tax authorities will maintain this advantage: a deduction of 66% of your donations within the limit of 20% of income.
